Kukui Nut Oil is a cold-pressed plant oil from Hawaii's kukui tree - long known as the "tree of life" and prized by Native Hawaiians for centuries for its ability to soothe and protect skin. It's naturally rich in linoleic and oleic fatty acids, so it absorbs quickly without greasy residue, making it a hero ingredient in our Tahitian Vanilla line and many of our scrubs and body butters.
Many customers with sensitive or reactive skin gravitate to our Lavender Chamomile, Bulgarian Rose, and baby lines, which lean on calming botanicals like Chamomile, Calendula, Marshmallow Root, and Aloe Vera. Every skin is different, though, so we recommend reviewing the ingredient list and performing a patch test on the inner arm before full use.
Many of our products contain pure essential oils and plant-derived botanicals. Because pregnancy and skin sensitivity vary so much from person to person, we recommend consulting your healthcare provider before use during pregnancy or breastfeeding - particularly for products containing essential oils like Lavender, Rosemary, Sage, Bergamot, or Tahitian Vanilla.
It comes down to texture and richness. Body lotion is the lightest - water-based and fast-absorbing. Body cream is richer and longer-lasting, with more emollient plant oils and butters. Whipped Body Butter is the densest of the three, built on more than 90% organic Shea Butter for serious hydration on very dry, sensitive, or compromised skin.
Because we handcraft in small batches without synthetic preservatives, our products are best used within 12 months of purchase. Store them away from direct sunlight and high heat. If a product ever looks, smells, or behaves differently than expected, please discontinue use.
